Many high school students use Simplyk to complete the volunteer hours for their school program. It is therefore important to validate volunteer hours.
To validate the hours, it is first necessary that the volunteer has entered his hours to his profile. For this he must return to his dashboard and enter his hours.
1. Event publish on Simplyk
Once the volunteer has added his hours, you must go to your Dashboard. The tab "To do" will therefore appear.
The green thumb validates the student's participation. The orange thumb allows either to refuse the participation or to correct the number of hours, for example if the student says to have done 5h but has actually 4h. For some schools, a comment will be asked to evaluate the student
2. Event manually add by student
High school students who use Simplyk with their school have the option to manually add a volunteer experience, in cases where they have forgotten to register or when they do not use Simplyk to find their opportunities. You might receive a time validation request for an opportunity that you did not publish on Simplyk.
The validation process remains the same for you.
3. Special cases
If a volunteer has anticipated and entered his hours in advance, it is best to wait for volunteering opportunity to take place.
If you do not know the volunteer, you can refuse with the orange thumb and choose "0h"
If in doubt, do nothing and wait for the volunteer to contact you.
